Solway Sharks and their Supporters Association are doing their bit to spread a bit of Christmas cheer in the run up to the festive season, by contributing
to the Holywood Trust Christmas foodbank collection.
Sharks Captain Struan Tonnar said, “This is something the team is more than happy to get behind. At Christmas time we should all be trying to support those less fortunate, and a small donation can make a huge difference to someone in need. Our team is supported by the Holywood Trust so it is great to get the opportunity to give something back by supporting their foodbank appeal.”
Stuart Brown from the Sharks Supporters Association added, “We would like to thank everyone who has already donated to the foodbank collection over the last couple of weeks. You still have time to help, as we will be accepting donations again at our game on Saturday night, so if you are out shopping in the next few days and could pick up even one extra item to donate it would be greatly appreciated.”
There will be foodbank collection boxes at the Sharks’ game against Sutton Sting on Saturday night (7th December) at the Ice Bowl, at both the supporters tables in the rink and at Sharkey’s bar upstairs.
