The Building Craftsmen Dumfries Ltd Solway Sharks would like to welcome Luke Houston to the roster for the upcoming 2019/20 season.
Luke is a product of the Solway Sharks Junior program and has represented Scotland at conference as well as being an u19 Scotland international.
Luke is a right handed defenceman who has iced previously with the senior team and has been a regular on the scoresheet at u20’s even as a defenceman and has impressed throughout his junior career and attended GB camps.
Houston will be looking to make the step up to senior hockey and make an immediate impression in the lineup in both the SNL and NIHL.
Head Coach Martin Grubb commented “Luke is a player who I have seen develop through our junior set up and has the ability and confidence to step up and contribute in this team. Luke skates well, sees the ice and can put up points from defence and I am excited to continue working with him and help him transition to senior hockey”.
Luke said “Delighted to be signing for the sharks this year coming through the juniors watching them over the years. It’s a big step but looking forward to playing in the NHIL and also the SNL this year. It’s a great group of boys to be playing along side and I’m excited to get started”.
Luke Houston will wear the number 24 jersey for the season ahead.
