#89 Scott Henderson
Great Britain Student Athlete Is Back For Silverware
The Solway Sharks are pleased to announce the return of 20 year old homegrown forward Scott Henderson for the 2019/20 season. Scott is a product of the Solway Sharks junior development program and has taken his game to a higher level as he made the jump to full time senior hockey last season. He contributed 34 points in the regular season and was a constant problem for opposition defences with his speed, skill and size and cane up with some key goals during the season.
Head coach Martin Grubb was happy and said “Scotty has improved every year and was a player I really wanted to keep even though he has options in the higher league. He has become a big player for us with his speed and he uses his size to put opposing teams under pressure and knows where the net is and I expect him to play a big role this year. He’s only 20 but plays above his years and it’s always a good thing when a player really wants to play for his local team”.
Scott commented “I’m excited to be back for another season at my hometown club. I’m looking forward to the chance to play in both NIHL and SNL. Last season didnt end the way we had all wanted and this season I look forward to rectifying that and bringing home some silverware. I can’t wait to step back on the ice in front of the great support from the fans and get the season underway”.
Scott will wear his familiar number 89 jersey.
